What is the equivalent of atomic locks (in Linux) in Solaris ?

Are you using return-rst with your block (deny) rules?  If so, it
may just be that some packets arrive out of order, causing IP Filter
to generate a RST, further causing the Windows machine to drop the
connection.

Have you kept an eye on your logs to look for a correlation between
rejected packets and dropped rsh connections?
