Hey everyone,

This is semi-off topic, but I think it's a close enough subject that it's 
reasonable to mention it here.

I've mentioned in passing already that Richard and I have started the MSS 
Initiative, an effort to eliminate websites on the internet that have broken 
Path MTU Discovery (i.e. sites that make PPPoE DSL users use MSS Clamping).

This is a serious issue. Major security sites such as securityfocus.com, 
cert.org, and verisign.com are broken. These are sites that SHOULD know how to 
configure a firewall.

Why am I tell you all this? Well, those of you using PPPoE (or other restricting 
MTU connections), please turn off MSS Clamping, and find sites that you are 
having problems with. Then email us the site at mss@ipom.com. We will contact 
them for you.
