Hi,
I've built and installed pfil 1.11 on my Sun Ultra 60 (dual 300 MHz CPUs) which
runs Solaris 8 with the latest maintenance update (6). That went okay(ish). It
compiled properly, but the package was made in /tmp, which the docs do not
state. Anyway, now to ipfilter-3.4.22

I edited the makefile so the compiler was set to Sun's cc (version 5). Linking
in ncurses caused an error that looked if it was related to the fact ncurses was
built with a 32-bit gcc, so I started again, this time undefining STATETOP and
the ncurses bit.

IPF then builds okay, but when running 'make tests' it fails

# /usr/ccs/bin/make tests
<snip>
n1...
expected/n1 results/n1 differ: char 674, line 20
make[1]: *** [n1] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/ip_fil3.4.22/test'
*** Error code 2
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `tests'

I tried to continue installing ipf anyway and it seems to work okay. It is
certainly filtering ports okay, but something is obviously wrong if a test fails
- either ipf is faulty, or the test is wrong.
