So you are including me to the "not nice" people on this list?

:p

Subject: [IPCop-user] Fw: RESOLVED openvpn not working

Hello all,

As I promised, I am mailing to the list with my findings.
Indeed all this time I was one (or two) "checks" away from
making this happen.

As I stated earlier, the most dificult thing of all is to
get rid of old habits.

I never fiddled with openvpns' "advanced settings" option

before, because I didn't need to.

As a result, I never checked "GREEN" and/or "ORANGE" PUSH
checkboxes in the advanced settings section of openvpn and

this is the reason that it never worked.

Just tried this on all three v2.0.6 ipcop installations and
it works just fine.

Back in v.1.4.x, if you had a seperate DMZ, you had to

launch a shell to the ipcop box and go to a specific place
and add the "PUSH" routes manually for packets to get through.
Apparently, this is not the case with v2.x

There you go. Old habits die hard.

Now I think I am ready to deploy v2.0.6 to all my clients'
sites.

I would like to thank you all for your kindness; Ged, Matt,
Caparo and all the nice people in this list.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you :-)

Spyros
