I should mention that kexec while possible to implement, requires a
program and libraries to run it and the kernel has to have kexec built
in. I do not believe this is even planned for IPCop.
It's difficult to say whether being able to have the machine running
while updating a kernel and then starting the new kernel and shutting
down the old one is worth the effort. It would really only make sense to
include the kexec libraries and programs in the update package itself
since that is the only time needed and only during kernel upgrades at
that. No sense cluttering the system.
