Hi,
I'm using dyns.cx dynamic redirector service.
All is correct when I update a host but IpCop give an error when I try
to use an "URL forwarder".
But the update procedure is the same for both host and URL forwarder.
Ez-ipupdate seems not handle correctly this type of update (return
message is a little bit different than the host update).
When I launch the request manually in a browser to update the url
forwarder I get the correct return (200 dynforwarder...).
On the site of dyns.cx the source code of a patched ez-ipupdate is
available. This code should be normally 100% compatible with dyns.cx
service.
Is this code is used in IpCop?
Can I try to compile it (on a Caldera OpenLinux box) and exchange the
IpCop's ez-ipupdate by the patched version?
Launched directly from IpCop box:
(host update)
/usr/local/bin/ez-ipupdate -a "80.200.xxx.xxx" -S dyns -u "name:pwd" -h
"xxx.dyns.net" -q
--> Ok
(url forwarder update)
/usr/local/bin/ez-ipupdate -a "80.200.xxx.xxx" -S dyns -u "name:pwd" -h
"xxx2.dyns.net" -q
--> Error
Thanks!
Regards
Boris.
