Hello Lindsay

When a call initiated from Green to Orange, IPCop let it trough.
The answer from Orange to Green IPCop let also pass, because
Green noticed in his message the Port on which Orange should answer
and IPCop noticed that.

Bye
Michael Schwarz

PS: excuse my bad english

G'day All,
| >2). If I open pinholes etc etc aren't I un-isolating it & inviting
| >expierienced hackers in?
| Perhaps. Pinholes are there to allow Orange to connect to Green.
| Pinholes aren't the same as Port Forwarding (Red to Green), as I
| understand it.

All external access is via a port????
If pinholes aren't Ports (or part thereof), What are they?

| Pinholes aren't necessary for Green to connect to Orange.
| I could be wrong, though.
Green can send packets to Orange but Orange can't reply by sending
packets
back????
So the only way to communicate is via SSH or similar, YES?????
Why does SSH work???
Does it allow only authorized packets through a port???
Why don't I have to open that port???
tia
Lindsay
