The wondershaper script (aka shaping.cgi the "Traffic Shaping" page)
would be the most obvious to me. I think the backend is now compiled
into a C binary and so can not be easily changed, but the basic tc
commands are still available for you to run.

Just don't ask me about the syntax for tc & friends, because it is the
worst thing I have seen since sendmail.

If you haven't done it already I would try a basic shaping setup on
the current webpage with the up & down bandwidths set just below the
real bandwidth. Fiddle with them and create a few service priorities
and see if that helps.

Then if you are forced to look at some tc recipes.
