Even though WikiProjects and indivdual book projecs
appear at the same level in my hierarchy,
I don't mean to imply any deeper analogy between them.

IMO, because of all the supporting material --
the help pages, the FAQ, the policy pages, and so forth.
But you're right that this isn't perfectly analogous either.
