Thanks to John Morrissey for the help. I'm going again. Had to define
DOC_ROOT to be above the dirs where pages live... ALL pages. Still odd
that this changed from 1.3.12 - 1.3.17. The most recent change in the
log for anything remotely resembling DOC_ROOT was way back in 1.3.4.
