Sorry, i described in the wrong way what i was trying to ask...

I mean, with 100-1000 simultaneous users connected to the webmail how
many simultaneous messages read could cause performance issue?

I don't know in a tipical email usage with 1000 simultaneous connected
users how much read/minutes are usually done, so i'm asking if someone
had experience with this scenario.

A good question would be:
Reading an email message has performance impact 1
Which is the performance impact of reading an email message which is
s/mime encrypted and that's decrypted by IMAP?
