Hi Willy,

thanks fort he reply, we're using acronis for backups and archiving. But all
the emails go through IMAP it seems. Here I can put in the format I want to
save them in and the location. 
But I will look into the setup of acronis next, maybe I'll find more answers
there!

In order to assist you, we definitely need more information with
respect to your archiving procedure. I doubt that your IMAP software is
doing it for you, but please convince me that I'm wrong.

However, I'm afraid it has a little to do with IMAP and more with your
archiving software, whatever that might be. So your choice of mailing
list was not well chosen. Since you are here now, we are willing to help
you.
