Hi everyone,

Attempting to use ImageMagick on a Mac I failed entirely and can't 
find the needed info.

I downloaded ImageMagick-Mac and can't get it running. I searched on 
the web site http://www.imagemagick.org/ under FAQ and found not a 
single entry or hint on the use of ImageMagick on the Mac.

The installation was successful, yet the simplest test like giving 
identify in the startup dialog the argument

	images/magick.png

fails with

@(#)ImageMagick 5.3.0 04/01/01 Q:16 http://www.imagemagick.org
identify: Unable to open file (images/magick.png).
identify: Missing an image file name.
Select File->Quit to exit.

Other trials like typing

	identify images/magick.png <return>
or
	identify :images:magick.png <return>

(more Mac like) all fail miserably.

Can anyone give me some hints on how to get going with ImageMagick on 
a Mac? Does anyone know wether it does actually work? Is there some 
useful URL I have overlooked? Thanks for any hints/info.
