Ok, if I didn't know better I would swear that combine wont put a watermark
on an image!
I have tried to my wits end to get this going and I can't seem to make it
work.
Here's what I've done:
created text.gif (transparent 50px x 50px with the message "HI")
created image.gif (regular 72dpi 300x300 image)
used combine with -matte option to combine the two images into out.gif
viewed out.gif to find the text.gif simply had a white background that
covered up the image.gif.  If I reverse the order of the images in the
combine I find the image.gif chopped to the size of text.gif so I don't
think this is the answer.

I have also intentionally set the background of text.gif to black and used
mogrify with the - transparent option to make it transparent then tried the
combine again with the same results.
Would it be possible for someone to give me the idiots guide on this one?
Can you list the steps for doing this?
