I concur. Any artefact of decoding should be labelled as such. Any 
unlabelled report should refer to the (raw) image data. Of course, 
perhaps there are cases where the image data has to be decoded and 
cast into a structure in memory before it (that data) can be 
meaningfully identified :-).
