Hmmm..
That is what I did, but when I unzipped the file 
onto  my local HD and then I did cd to directory 
where Image-Magick.ppd was and I typed in:
ppm install Image-Magick.ppd
I got:
Error installing package 'Image-Magick.ppd': Could not locate a PPM binary
of 'Image-Magick.ppd' for this platform
My platform is Windows NT.
I checked there the directory and there are:

C:\im\Image-Magick.ppd
C:\im\README
C:\im\x86
C:\im\x86\Image-Magick.tar.gz
