Hi all,

How about including the following in the list guidelines?

"The lingua franca of this list is English and will remain English. However,
since this is a bastion of freedom, no language will be discriminated
against - as long as the post is tagged appropriately. Example, for Tamil it
shall be [TAMIL] (not [TAMIZH] pls) and for Hindi it will be [HINDI]. And
for Swahili, Nyanja and Tonga it shall be [SWAHILI], [NYANJA] and [TONGA]
respectively. Thank you very much.

While thats the official position, if you are serious about getting a
response to your query please stick to English! There are just not enough
members here who will be able to understand and respond to your query in the
language of your choice."

If its OK, request this to be included in the mailing list guidelines. The
next time a language war crops up we can point the warring parties to this
link and get on with life!

thanks,
mano
