funny(?!?) thing is that that is almost exactly what my boss did in
December last year, after 24 years at the company.

My main job is to write database code, I just happen to have been here
longest and know how everything works (mostly because I made it all or had
a hand in it's setup).  I also made the conscious decision to work with the
new IT director, and if he says we do it, then we will find a way, but it
might well end up being an SEP (Someone Else's Problem)

Uniformity is important (although extremely annoying at times),<br />
and I&#39;m sure you would agree. It sucks for us/our &quot;UNIX people&quot;,<br />
but _we_ can adopt to them quite easily, to bad they can&#39;t adopt<br />
