Amnon,

The definitions in RFC 2787 seems pretty clear. There are two traps
(notifications) defined there - vrrpTrapNewMaster for transitions of the
entity running the agent into 'master' state, and vrrpTrapAuthFailure at
reception of non-authenticated VRRP messages. 'What should be done' is a
matter of the management application that is receiving the traps, and this
is out of the scope of the RFC, probably in the field of creativity of the
application writers.
