I'm fascinated. Two or three people are writing a Masters Thesis on IDS. 
Care to share the topics? I promise I am not baiting you... I didn't have 
to write a thesis for my MS.

(Oh, and Becky Bace's book is a great place to get history as her agency 
funded lots of early research. Also, see if the IDS guide she wrote for 
ICSA is on their web page -- www.icsa.net -- as it might also contain a 
historical background.)
