Proposal to deprecate ICU4J class com.ibm.icu.text.StringCharacterIterator
Please respond with comments by November 28 2002

The class com.ibm.icu.text.StringCharacterIterator has the same
implementation as java.text.StringCharacterIterator in JDK1.3 and JDK1.4.

Instead of duplicating the code, com.ibm.icu.text.StringCharacterIterator
will be deprecated and code that use
com.ibm.icu.text.StringCharacterIterator will be replaced by
java.text.StringCharacterIterator.

com.ibm.icu.text.StringCharacterIterator will be deprecated in the upcoming
ICU4J release 2.4.
