Hi,
Thanks ever so much for the quick response.

Hi James,

We have replaced the old data with new tables that are more precise, more
complete, and cover more platforms. While doing that, we have removed the
old, outdated files.
We currently do not have any generated HTML pages online. In other words,
yes, it "vanished".

Sniff, but I understand why you've pulled them.

Which HTML pages are you referring to?

We had an HTML file per mapping table showing the validity and the mappings
per lead byte etc. The validity presentation did not work well for more
complicated codepages.
We also had an overview with script coverage and such.

The one with the coloured blobs wasn't useful to me, but the one that
displayed all of the characters in the charset in a grid indexed with the
numerical value in the source charset, showing the glyph and the unicode
value was really great, especially given that it showed the fallback options
too.

All in all, the data was almost all for Windows codepages and was not 100%
correct.

Yes, we were content to run with the charsets that you had indexed, i.e.
just the Windows ones, though it's nice to see that you've broadened your
scope since only a few weeks ago.

We are concentrating on other tools right now, mostly for comparing mapping
tables with each other to find out which ones are almost the same.

I doubt that our case is likely to be very useful as input to you. We're
just using the XML files with the charsets and nothing else. All of our
code is in Lisp (!).

Worst case, I can just write the code to generate the HTML pages I was
using, I just thought I was going crazy not being able to find the ones you
had.

Many thanks, and ATB,

Rice.

Hi,
I think that what you're doing at ICU is just great, but I'm lost with the
recent change to the way the web site is organised.

I've searched high and low and I can't for the life of me find that
incredibly useful listing of a zillion charsets with the HTML tabulation
right next to the XML file for the charset. Am I missing something or did
that stuff vanish? I sure hope not.

Many thanks,

Rice.
