the problem is that the poster wants the ad to play to the person who is 
connecting, not to every listener.  And presumably they want that ad to be 
different based on some kind of characteristics of the connecting person 
(i.e. it's not going to be the same for everyone).

I don't know anything about VAST, but maybe you could use the auth 
mechanisms to do something.
