There is a date problem.  The date presentation should be constant, regardless of
what time zone the headers reference - or the local mail delivery system.
I ended up using SSI to scan the directory's last change time and present THAT
in the same EST format as Hypermail should have done.

Here is an example problem from the current alpha release...

Last message date: Wed 10 Mar 1999 - 23:00:14 EST
Archived on: Wed Mar 10 1999 - 18:00:14 EST

The times should be exactly the same.
