Hello:

I know it's probably too late for the response but I post a posible solution 
just in case somebody googling for this problem.

In my Hylafax version I must create the file etc/FaxNotify whith the 
content:

RETURNFILETYPE=PDF

It's documented in bin/notify at the start of the file
