The main problem, as I understand it, is that the current glue code allows
using old linux drivers only, while we would like to use newer ones as well.
Newer drivers require a newer interface with kernel components too, which
means updating the glue code to match new linux drivers (2.6 ones I guess).

I'm not sure there is something new but, stabilizing GNU Mach, tracking
why it freezes "randomly" (I guess it's not *that* random), is definitely a
good starting point for anyone who really wants to take part in this revival
project, which I hope will give good results :-).
Improving the VM usage for better IPC performance is also one of the goals
which would really matter for the Hurd.
