e2fsprogs under the Hurd can't work with partitions larger than 2G.  But 
I only added -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 to CPPFLAGS and e2fsprogs works 
perfectly well with filesystems larger than 2G!

It seems that the root of the problem is in lib/ext2fs/llseek.c where 
_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE is defined.  This should define llseek64 and this 
doesn't work as expected for some reason.
