 I can't replicate this on my system, loading System.Directory repeatedly
 works just fine. I wouldn't be massively surprised if there were GCC vs VC
 issues with the FFI in places, but I can't trip them up out of the box.

 guest: Did you compile Hugs yourself, or any of the libraries? Does the
 installation of HSQL do something quirky?
