Folks-

   A couple replies below from the debugger team's offline discussion.

It sounds like the application was not linked with end.o.  This happens
automatically when an application is built by the compiler with -g.

The 3.1 gdb requires end.o to make command line calls.  I believe the
next version has removed this requirement.

I think 3.2 is soon to be available.
