When trying to use the "shutdown" command as root on an HP 715 running
HP-UX 9.05, I get an error stating the user is not authorized.

I have a valid entry for user root in the /etc/shutdown.allow file.

The shutdown man page claims "The hostname in /etc/shutdown.allow is
compared with the hostname obtained using gethostbyname()..." But the
gethostbyname function call requires an argument - what argument is used
by the shutdown process?
