Hi,

a customer of ours has some kind of backup device which needs a SCSI 2
connection.
To achieve this he installed the 28655A card in a K-class.
So far so good, the device works on HP-UX but not with his backup software.
This software insist to use a SCTL driver and won't work on SCSI1 or SCSI3.
Since the 28655 interface is connected to the HP-PB bus of the K-class
there's no SCTL driver but a SPT driver and the software just doesn't accept
this.
This customer also has a A180 system available and is thinking about
connecting his device to this system.
To achieve this he wants to have an extra SE interface in a GSC slot.
Is there anyone who can tell me if such an interface would use the SCTL
driver ?
