You have to confure the file troll/config/servers.php and set the
parameter $servers['imap'].

By default, there is:

$servers['imap'] = array(
    'server' => 'localhost',
    'protocol' => 'imap/notls',
    'port' => 143
);

which should work for a local IMAP server.
