Hi,
I downloaded the Helix DNA Client source code and I am trying to build
the code on Windows 2K machine. I have already installed python and
Microsoft Directx SDK on my machine.
I have set all the environment variables mentioned in the build guide.
set CVSROOT=:pserver:pradnya@localhost:/cvs
set BUILD_ROOT=c:\src\ribosome\build
set SYSTEM_ID=win32-i386-vc6
set HOME=C:
My .buildrc file looks like this,
AddCVS("helix", ":pserver:pradnya@localhost:/cvs")
AddBIFPath("common", "[helix]/common/build/BIF")
AddBIFPath("client", "[helix]/client/build/BIF")
SetSDKPath("dxsdk", "c:\dxsdk")
After running the build command, I get the following error
Updating [common] BIF files...
running 'cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@localhost:/cvs checkout common/build/BIF'
in 'c :\\src\\ribosome\\build\\bif-cvs\\helix' (as = None)
cvs [checkout aborted]: connect to localhost:2401 failed: Connection refused
No BIF branches found, please configure your .buildrc!
Is this beacuse I do not have an internet connection on my build machine?
But I read in one of the mails that it is possible to build the code even
without having an internet connection. Is there any way to continue with the
build even after getting the CVS update errors?
Could anyone please tell me how to proceed with the build.
