No in fact the first success story was a mistake.. due to a local install of the  \
library which was in the default search path of gcc. So now I need to wrap

cabal test  and cabal run binoculars-ng

in order to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<path to the extra library>

It seesm strage to me that this is required when we gives cabal configure \
extra-lib-dirs.
