it's slightly different. Balancing on source IP is equivalent to
source IP persistence as long as the number of servers does not change.
When you lose one server, you redispatch everyone, which is not always
the best thing to do with some protocols with which you want the user
to remain on the same server (eg: RDP). However, I agree that for most
uses, source IP hashing is fine (eg: SSL frontends).
