Noto fonts have some language fonts, see here:
https://www.google.com/get/noto/

I vote for freetype 2.7 + Noto Font as default

AND
AMD_64 cpu only + gcc 7.x as long time compiler (5years min, max. 7years)
as default with non binare compatible beos r5 support.

I like to see, that the PM split in two repro
1: system update (fixes, release, Core-Apps, etc)
2: update & install 3rd Party Apps

Great work on all, thanks.

It's done. As Humdinger commented on the Haikuports recipe, the fonts
menu is now a bit overloaded with various locale variants of Noto.
Wouldn't it make sense to show by default fonts which fit the locale?
Windows 7 does it, should be doable also in Haiku, but might require
Fontconfig.
