 It ends up not being the Desktop the one that gets the focus, but the
 Deskbar. At least that's what it looks like, because if I disable the
 "Always on top" option in Deskbar prefererences... this issue with the
 Find/Replace dialogs dissapears.

 Oh well. Original issue remains :-)
