 This happens to almost all media I have on my computer, I think it isn't a
 symptom of broken or corrupt files.
 If you open a file with the end position MediaPlayer seems to start at the
 last keyframe and then continuos to the end, at which point you can't get
 it to play again. (Or if you had repeat audio on it will loop only the
 audio, not the video and all controls are busted so you can't get the
 audio to stop without quiting the application)

 If you open the file and immidiently pause you can skip back to the start,
 this also seems to work as a workaround.
