 Hi, I have attached a mockup I made for myself  to visualize the change
 proposed by nephele.\\
 Making the buttons grow until they reach the border eats the margin
 between buttons and still needs a pair of extra pixels to maintain the
 square shape. Also the buttons better be flush with one another so that
 they don't get unnecessarily separated.\\
 I think it still looks good, and the usability of it will gain in
 agility.\\
 The icing in the cake will be if LaunchBox pads retained the same
 "magnetic" effect that sticks them to the border of the screen that they
 have when the window borders are activated, so that the positioning of the
 pad and the subsequent aiming and clicking becomes foolproof.
