 I did an official memory upgrade on my Thinkpad T450s. Aside from the on-
 board 4Gb I just added 8Gb on the single available slot.
 After that the system does not boot at all. Not even the first icon lights
 up.
 (Note: From BIOS configuration video card takes 512M of RAM).
 Looks like a BIOS boot only thing (see 4 below).

 Experiments:

 1. Activated "on screen debug output" through boot loader options but
 nothing is displayed. Again only the logo without not even the fisrt icon
 light up.

 2.  Checking the option to ignore memory above 4Gib on boot loader does
 allow the system to boot but the memory it sees as available is much less
 than 3,5Gb I would expect.

 3. Linux booting from usb sees all available memory (11,5 Gb if we
 subtract video memory).

 4. Gave priority to EFI boot from firmware settings and selected Haiku USB
 stick to boot (anyboot image). It booted my Haiku disk partition and was
 able to see whole memory!! The strange thing is that when I tried to
 select boot partition from (USB) EFI boot loader options it only displays
 as available ONLY the hard disk Haiku partition; nothing from USB stick
 itself. But at least this looks like a workaround: EFI boot will probably
 work but I need to re-partition accordingly my hard disk...
