 Many shutdown problems are hangs before it has gotten to ACPI. ACPI is the
 absolute last step of shutdown. Usually it is a lockup before. Better to
 only set a component when it is determined. It's a bit hard for me to
 singlehandedly investigate these always and try to explain that not all
 bad things are ACPI.
