 Looking again at what people have said in this ticket, I suspect the block
 cache. I don't have a lot of time to try this out at the moment, but could
 this be happening when there is more than one BFS volume? Another thing to
 try is filesystem stress testing tools to see whether there are any
 reproducable panics, then try changing the volume sizes, numbers of
 volumes and rerunning the tools.
