Hi all,

  I start 5 small instances(1:NN, 1:BN, 3:DN) on Amazon EC2, and run my
benchmark:

1. Create 1000 files to hdfs at a time.
2. The file size is 1kb.
3. Run 20 times.

Benchmark results(throughput):

            only NN         NN+BN
Min.    51.26127       39.51181
Max.   57.70650       43.12806
Avg.    53.97225       41.38930 (ops/sec)

NN+BN taken: 24.1802130 ms per file.
       NN taken: 18.5422298 ms per file.

Are the results reasonable?
Thanks.

Shen
