List: gtk-app-devel
Subject: libgtk-1.2.so.0

I recently downloaded and installed gtk+-1.2.3 and glib-1.2.3. I am
running Caldera 1.3. I can get the examples that came with the gtk
program to compile, link and make the executables, but when I try to run
them, I keep getting the same error:
    program: can't load library `libgtk-1.2.so.0'
That link is pointing to libgtk-1.2.so.0.2.1. Both are at
/usr/local/lib. That path is entered in /etc/ld.so.conf. I have tried
copying these into /usr/X11R6/lib after removing an earlier version but
I am still getting the same message.
