Disclaimer first - I am new to graphviz, but have been doing a lot of
reading on this site and the archives.

I have a system with a couple of hundred nodes that needs to be put into
a directed diagram. Graphviz seems to be a great fit for doing this.
However, I know that I will need to edit, annotate, and tweak the layout
beyond what is generated by graphviz. So - I was hoping for an output
from graphviz that I could edit.

I saw notes about dia formatted output so I went to try that - but alas,
it appears to be removed from recent versions of graphviz.

Then I found references to GraphVizio. I tried that, but it doesn't like
the use of headport & tailport. I don't *have* to have headport &
tailport, but it does give me a much better starting point for my
graphs. There also seems to be a bug in GraphVizio where each of the
edges get duplicated in the diagram. So for every "a -> b" I have 2
lines in the diagram.

So - my question is - do I have any choices beyond:

1) Use an older version of graphviz with dia output
2) Use GraphVizio, but then have to edit the results a lot.

Thank you,
Dan
