Hello,

I'm happy to announce the release of the first release candidate of the 1.0
version of KGraphViewer, after a little bit more than one year of
development.

KGraphViewer is a Graphviz dot graph file viewer for KDE. All 1.0 features are
now here. And thanks to some users, a few bugs were removed. If no more bugs
are found, 1.0 will be out in a few days. But, till there, your help is still
needed to find the last bugs, to correct my bad english (in program and
manual) and to translate in various languages, or even to propose patches.
See the TODO in the distribution for the list of already known bugs.
If you wish to help, please consult http://gna.org/projects/kgraphviewer

One thing that would be very useful to me would be to have test graphs using
various features containing 100 to 1000 nodes. If you have the possibility to
share your graphs, please do so.

I used, in this program, code from the profiling tool kcachegrind and from
koffice/kexi
(http://kcachegrind.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/show.cgi/KcacheGrindIndex).

 The tool works very well for not huge graphs (< 1000 nodes).
 Here are its currently implemented features:
 - full featured printing;
 - zooming ;
 - loading of several graphs in tabs ;
 - saving of the recent files list ;
 - manual and automatic reload of files ;
 - display of a bird-eye view of the graph (can be disabled) ;
 - moving of the graph by dragging;
 - (somewhat) perfect drawing of all graphviz (2.2.1) example graphs,
   some problems with 2.8;
 - automaticaly choose dot for directed graphs and neato for undirected
   and possibility to choose an arbitrary program generating xdot format
 - open new instances as new tabs in the existing window (configurable)
 - help system: run-time documentation and user guide
 - internationalization (currently eng, fre)
 - ...

Enjoy !
