I fixed some functions regarding file-information (and file deletion),
therefore you need gphoto2 CVS for compiling gtkam CVS.

For gtkam, you don't need any other library besides gtk, gdk-pixbuf, and
gphoto2.

For gnocam (Nautilus integration), things are different. Let's talk
about that after you successfully installed gtkam.
