For now, issue the command:
gphoto2
and see if that works. This pretends that your A70 is really a G3.
If that command works, try other functions than "--list-files".
If it doesn't work, use the command
env LANG=C gphoto2 --debug --usbid 0x4a9:0x3073=0x4a9:0x306e --list-files
and send us the entire output.
