Look for 54c and 4e in there and you will find Sony cams, right?

Wait a minute. If your mandrake package already set that up, it should
already be working.

And the advice to remove those lines is just so that you don't get
duplicate lines if you just add the new lines.

Looks like something is wrong with you hotplug setup. How was
usb.usermap set up?

This looks like a Sony camera (0x54c).
