Yes, that's right.

I don't have any smoking gun here.  Just suspicions.
But I guess you're OK on the major platforms.
You may run into problem in embedded systems, which use
weird options such as gcc -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2,
but they're probably not your target anyway.
